How's college?

After three months of being college students, it would be a perfect time to ask our classmates about their college experiences! Here are 5 questions that ask us about COLLEGE!

Our first respondents? The birthday girl, Dee-Dee*, and Hubert*! :D Thanks for your time!

How's your college life so far?

DeeDee: LIFE CHANGING. It's a whole NEW world.

Hubert: Uhm, so far ok nman siya. Nung una, it was hard to adjust sa new environment pero nasanay na rin. Katamad mag-aral, as in. Pero enjoy rin naman siya. (mas enjoy pag 'alang teacher, hehe)

What were the adjustments you have made (not only academically)?

DeeDee: Madami, eh. Time. Yung school. Yung pakikisama sa mga tao sa paligid. Yung pamasahe. Yung budget. Yung uniform. Yung transportation. Yung mga teachers. Yung prices sa market. Haha.

Hubert: Uhm, adjustments sa environment, sa mga tao [friends], sa mga teachers, sa schedule, sa mga activities tapos yung emotional adjustments pa pala. (about emotional) Mahirap, eh. Pero siguro yung mindset ko di pa totally naka-set for college. I still miss my HS life. Yun.

What were the things given by Ateneo de Naga High School that helped you in college?

DeeDee: Syempre yung mga notes. Gandang reference yun. Haha. Hm, saka syempre lahat sa 412, 411, 418, 218. Haha.

Hubert: Confidence, 'katalinuhan daw kuno', discipline, CCCC, tapos yung pagiging God-centered.

What are the advices you can give to the young Ateneans for their future college life?

DeeDee: Yung sa advice. Nakuha ko 'to somewhere noon. Hehe.:

Do more than exist; live.
Do more than touch; feel.
Do more than look, observe.
Do more than read, absorb.
Do more than hear, listen.
Do more than listen, understand.
Do more than talk; say something.

Hubert: Uhm, tiyaga lang. Aral ng mabuti, mag-enjoy and always trust God.

What made BANAAG different from college?

DeeDee: College only lasts for 4 to 5 years but Banaag... Banaag's FOREVER.

Hubert: Uhm, the bonding we had, mga trippings, ang mga tao sa Banaag! Our moderator. Lahat-lahat. Banaag is completely different from college.
